Where can we pick up our children after the group lessons?
Children from the Snowgarden stay in the kids Villages underneath our office and finish at 1 o’clock in the afternoon. Blue League, Red League and Black Acadamy finish their lessons at the bottom of the Sternegg, next to the Restaurant Sternegg. On Friday we have our price giving ceremony of our race in front of the office.
Do we have to book in advanced our group lessons?
We recommend to book your lessons with our online shop or send us an e-mail. During high season it is possible that our lessons are fully booked. Important note: It is only possible to book your lessons online four days ahead. Please give us a call if you want to book some lessons spontaneous.
At what age can the children attend a course?
We offer ski group courses for children over three years. As a matter of fact, children under three years of age are still not sufficiently independent to feel comfortable in a group. For these children it is also possible to book a private teacher. For the three and four-year-old children we offer 1.5 hours piccolo lesson from Monday to Friday from 2.00 pm / Saturday and Sunday in the morning at 10.00 am. For children over 5 years, there is a 3 hours group lesson in the morning. For snowboarding we have a minimum age of 8 years. Private lessons are also available on request for younger children.
Can the children be together in a group?
We build our groups apart from the age in the first place after the children's ski or snowboard skills. If your children or friends are skiing in about the same way, we would like to ask you to tell us about your wishes on the first day, and we will try our best! However, the child, who is better skiing, would have to take care of the other child or accept to be less advanced group!
How do you divid groups or make groups?
When you visit the Swiss ski school Stoos for the first time we try to build groups according to an oral survey about your ski skills, age and language. Every Monday we build new groups. The children have to do some turns. This will allow us to form groups oft he same level. However many of our guests visit us every year. After every five day group course the children are given a certification in their personal ski school book. This certification is also used to help us build our groups. After the first lesson on Monday we sometimes rebuild the groups on Tuesday morning.
Can you enter a course during the week?
We recommend to start your ski class on Monday to get the best experience and the maximum of improvement in your skills. Beside we build our groups on Monday. However, it is possible to join an existing group during the week (if the maximum group size is not exceeded) for advanced skiers. This is not possible for beginners. For a 3 day group lesson it is always from Monday to Wednesday.
Do we get our money back, if my child isn't ready for skiing or does not like it?
If your are not sure wether your child like skiing or not we recommend to book only one day (Monday) or a private lesson in the afternoon. Either way otherwise you could extend it by a further day to keep the "risk" as low as possible! In case of an accident or illness you get your money back if you show us a medical report.
What ski lift map do we need?
Children up to 6 years are free. In the snowgarden group course, they need a ticket from Morschach to Stoos or Schlattli to Stoos (shuttle ticket from 6 years). The Magic Carpet in front of the Ski School is free of charge. For level Blue Prince and Blue King it is best to buy a ski - light card (for the Skilifts Sternegg, Maggiweid and Holibrig). From level Blue Star on you need a card for the entire ski area.
